P2P Service Scheme Based on Probability Information for IoT Environments

Abstract: Over the past few years, IoT technology has been used in various fields around the world. However, the service system based on IoT is being provided differently according to the environment which causes many problems. In addition, the P2P service provided in various network environments has not yet fully provided a solution for the communication overhead and accuracy that occurs when transmitting and receiving. In performance evaluation, the proposed method showed an improvement of 5.2% on the information processing delay time generated by the IoT device and 10.8% higher communication efficiency between the IoT device and the server than the existing technique. In addition, the overhead of IoT device and server is 9.5% lower than the conventional method and the information extraction time of the server is 6.9% lower than the conventional method. We propose a P2P service based on probability information for IoT environment to improve the accuracy and reliability of IoT devices operating in P2P environment. In order to guarantee the information accuracy of IoT devices operating in heterogeneous environments (e.g., 5G networks) other than the existing environment, the proposed technique pairs the random variable information related to the IoT device information to secure the missing trust value of the IoT device do. Each time IoT device processes information it improves the accessibility of information generated by IoT device by applying the linkage information between random variables to the hash function.
